Amazing Trip

I recently completed the Sierra de Aitana trek in Spain with Exodus, and I can confidently say it was an incredible experience. From start to finish, the entire week was filled with breathtaking landscapes, rich history, and a real sense of adventure. The trek itself was challenging but absolutely rewarding, with a variety of terrains that kept things interesting. The views from the top of the Sierra de Aitana were absolutely stunning, with panoramic vistas over the mountains and valleys below.

Most Inspirational Moment

I really enjoyed hiking on Serella peak, Aitana Peak and Puig campana. Where you enjoy the panoramic views.

Thoughts on Group Leader

Jose was an outstanding guide—friendly, approachable, and deeply knowledgeable. Being a local, Jose had an incredible understanding of the region’s history, culture, and agriculture, which he shared with us throughout the trek. His passion for the area was contagious, and it really enhanced the experience. Whether it was explaining the geology of the mountains, the history of the region, or the agricultural practices in the area, he made everything feel alive and relevant.

Advice for Potential Travellers

I highly recommend this trek for anyone looking for an immersive hiking experience in Spain. Whether you're a seasoned hiker or someone looking to push your limits, the Sierra de Aitana trek offers a perfect balance of challenge and reward. And with a guide like Jose, you're guaranteed to have an experience that’s both enriching and enjoyable. Thank you, Exodus, for a fantastic adventure

Everything Was Simply Amazing

I’m a wildlife photographer and chose to do the Discover Costa Rica trip with Exodus. Even in September, the start of the “wetter season “it was beyond my expectations.

Most Inspirational Moment

It was that good, I can't pick just one. But if pressed, for me having Hummingbirds buzzing so close around me that I felt their wingbeats was special.

Thoughts on Group Leader

We had Jorge Lizano and if he is your leader in the future, then you are very lucky. He goes above and beyond to make your trip special.

Advice for Potential Travellers

This is a packed itinerary, but there is plenty of time to yourself early in the mornings. Get out of bed and make the most of it!

Vietnam is enthralling

We visited all the best tourist spots and had plenty of free time to explore on our own

Most Inspirational Moment

Our overnight on a Junk boat in Halong Bay

Thoughts on Group Leader

Our tour leader Nanq Nguyen ( aka Jolie) is exceptional. Exodus is fortunate to have her on their team. She is an organizational genius and genuinely cared for all of us. She also has a great sense of humor,

Advice for Potential Travellers

The overnight train trip from Hanoi to Hue, while it is a great experience, is uncomfortable and noisy. The amount of pollution in the Mekong Delta is unnecessarily large and the Vietnamese people seem to be unaware of the pollution.

Great cycling with possibly the best cycling guides

Sardinia is a beautiful island and the south west part where we were is different from other parts of the island – secluded, no celebrities, great mix of beach and nature, and genuine Sardinian food. We had two guides, both were excellent. The tour was well organised, everyone was kept together and safety felt like a priority. I like that they organised snacks and drinks for our stops, including electrolyte drinks! Negatives – we feel this tour doesn’t offer value for money. Pro rata it is one of the most expensive cycling tours in Europe but the accommodation quality was low. Only two working ACs, showers were old and with weak water pressure. When we all arrived, some hotels didn’t have enough hot water so people who went for the shower late ended up having a cold shower. For one hotel where there was no working AC (muma hostel), we were told it was too late at night to call the electrician but they would repair it the next morning (but we were only there for one night!). Later our group leader told us that the AC in that particular room had not been working for the last 2 weeks. There was no offer to move us to a different room. We didn’t appreciate being lied to and will leave a review about this on the hotel’s website. Also note that the support van was small and filled with our bags so there’s only 1-2 spaces for people to sit if anyone decides not to do the hill climb. Though with the e-bikes I think this probably won’t be much of a problem.

Most Inspirational Moment

San Pietro island, last day of the tour also was pretty amazing

Thoughts on Group Leader

Both were great, the best cycling tour leaders we've had. Funny, didn't force us to go into certain restaurants but gave us lots of options, kept everyone mostly together.

Best first cycling trip

fantastic food- authentic curries you cannot find at home, freshly caught seafood. the backwaters were beautiful and perfect for sun downers after a day of cycling. hotels much better than expected

Most Inspirational Moment

the cycling was a thrill though the cities, on long coastal roads to stretch your legs and in tropical rain which brings a smile on when I think of it

Thoughts on Group Leader

sehar was phenomenal, we were in safe hands from the start, very knowledgeable and had great stories such as the time he slept in his vehicle and woke up to a tiger asleep on his bonnet. the support team rahim and franklin made sure everything ran very smoothly

Advice for Potential Travellers

day 1 is a bit slow and lots of visits to synagogs and churches. would have liked to visit Hindu temples instead so maybe stay extra nights if you would like to also. go heavy on the mosquito spray , the rooms were fine but it's outside at dusk they bite.

Fascinating area of Italy

A week of varied walking. The Trulli houses are very interesting. And the cave dwellings in Matera are amazing. Some walks are more interesting than others. All at a moderate pace.

Most Inspirational Moment

The highlight of the tour has to be Matera. Unlike anywhere else I have ever been. And the guided tour by Nadia was excellent. She explained the history of the cave dwellers superbly.

Thoughts on Group Leader

Ioana has excellent knowledge of the history and culture of the region. She had great awareness of the different requirements of the individuals in the group. Plus she gave us special treats and coffee at our mid morning breaks. Truly a special guide. Probably the best guide we have had with Exodus. And we have had some excellent guides over the years.

Advice for Potential Travellers

The hotels are fairly basic. Bring shampoo! And the wifi and mobile signal in the hotels can be very patchy.

Breathtaking trip, although perhaps a bit too rushed and crammed at times

This was our thirteenth Exodus trip and this Egyptian odyssey certainly didn’t fall short of the high standards that keep bringing us back to Exodus as a travel company. Alexandria to Aswan is jam packed with breathtaking sights, extraordinary monuments and mind-boggling history, as well as moments of serenity and beauty, especially when drifting along the Nile either on the cruise ship or on a Felucca. My one reservation is that because so much is packed into what is effectively just twelve days it does feel a little rushed at times. It would have been good to spend perhaps an extra night in Alexandria and also Aswan. For me the the best Exodus trips do have a bit of time to breathe. Yes, it would make it a bit more expensive but this really ought to be a full two weeks. However, this shouldn’t put anyone off. It’s full of thrilling awe inspiring moments but you will need a good deal of energy to enjoy it all. Although thankfully there’s nowhere near as much driving as in some Exodus trips.

Most Inspirational Moment

Of course, climbing to the heart of the great pyramid was a sweaty thrill, and seeing so many bucket list sites was great, and contemplating a civilisation that makes European history seem like fleeting trivia, actually my favourite moment of all was a leisurely delicious lunch on the Felucca at Aswan…

Thoughts on Group Leader

Naiel was super friendly, funny and knowledgeable, not just about Pharonic history but about contemporary Egyptian politics which made his company a truly enriching experience.

Advice for Potential Travellers

Be prepared for early starts (which you will appreciate as it helps you to avoid the heat of the day). If you’re interested in attending a sound and light show, avoid the one at Karnak which is terribly dated and frankly a bit dull. I’ve heard that the one at Philae is much better. I was really glad that we booked the Red Sea extension as it gave us a couple of days of much needed relaxation before coming home. If you do go to Hurghada the Marriott hotel offers an excellent full day’s snorkelling trip not listed as an optional activity by exodus. At €45 it’s incredibly good value. Lastly, take plenty of Imodium.

Amazing way to experience Namibia by bike!

This is the best way to travel round Namibia, you see such diverse landscapes and a variety of wildlife too! Travelling by bike means you get to see it in a different way, even though you have some very early starts it means you have the roads to yourself and the animals are out there waiting for you!

Most Inspirational Moment

On Day 5 when we cycled through Namib Naukluft Desert, we set off before sunrise so we had the sun coming up behind us, we had a herd of mountain zebras running parrel to the cycling group it was so surreal!

Thoughts on Group Leader

Gabriel was our leader, he was so passionate about Namibia and it's people so it was lovely to experience the trip with him. He was amazing throughout with everything!

Advice for Potential Travellers

It is a unique trip! If you want a cycling adventure this is definitely, be prepared for ascents and descents and cycling through sand and bumps but the views and wildlife as all worth it, it will be the trip of a lifetime!

Namibia done right !

From Desert dunes, Amazing safari’s, gorgeous wildlife viewing and ultimate African sunsets – This trip is spectacular.

Most Inspirational Moment

Dune 45 and Etosha - coupled with the most amazing African sunsets - sublime !

Thoughts on Group Leader

Shane was truly the most accommodating - genuinely looking after the smallest needs of each traveler.

Advice for Potential Travellers

South African Rands are widely accepted. Binoculars are a MUST!

Spectacular Egypt

I highly recommend booking this trip if you want a fascinating exploration through ancient and modern Egypt. We got to see so many places that felt straight out of a National Geographic documentary! We had a small group of seven plus our exceptional tour guide named Rania who helped make this truly the trip of a lifetime. I have been a lot of cool places in the world but I believe this may be this coolest thing I have ever done. 10/10

Most Inspirational Moment

Entering the tomb of Ramses VI in the Valley of the Kings has to be my greatest highlight from the tour.

Thoughts on Group Leader

I am convinced we had the best tour leader on the planet- she is extremely knowledgeable, friendly, energetic, and a true pleasure to be around. Her name is Rania and I hope you get her on your tour!

Advice for Potential Travellers

The riverboat element of this trip was a huge highlight. It was a very unique way to travel and we all had an absolute blast on that boat.
