Amazing People and Places, But Execution Fell Short in Spots
My thoughts on this trip are a bit mixed.
Pros:
Our tour guide, Veriano, was fantastic—funny, thoughtful, and incredibly knowledgeable. He was truly one of the best parts of the trip. He took great care of us and paced the itinerary well, allowing us to see and experience a lot without feeling rushed. Having him handle all the logistics in advance was a huge benefit—it allowed us to maximize our time and fully enjoy each location. One highlight was the convertible bus ride from Amalfi, which he arranged as a surprise—absolutely unforgettable! I also really enjoyed the group of fellow travelers—such kind, interesting people who added so much to the experience.
Cons:
Working with Exodus was more challenging than expected. Their process seems geared primarily toward travelers from the UK, especially when it comes to flights and logistics, so coming from elsewhere was more complicated and less cost-effective. The trip also got off to a rocky start—the initial tour leader who was supposed to meet us at the airport was 40 minutes late, and no one from Exodus or the local team contacted us. It left several of us wandering the airport, unsure of what to do. Thankfully, things improved significantly once we connected with Veriano.
I had mixed feelings about the hotel (Hotel Due Torri). There was rarely anyone at reception, which made it difficult to get assistance when needed. Meals were served in a large, hot, noisy dining room where the hotel owner’s dog frequently barked, and the breakfast staff came across as unhappy and even dismissive—at one point, a breakfast staff member made fun of one of us in Italian saying, “I guess she can’t read”. That said, there were bright spots—Salvatore and a few other team members were warm and welcoming, and the cooking demonstrations were enjoyable. Unfortunately, the food itself didn’t measure up to other meals I’ve had in Italy.
Like many travel experiences, this trip had both highlights and lowlights. Overall, I’m grateful for the opportunity and the wonderful people I met, but I’d likely consider a different travel company in the future.
An Unforgettable Amalfi Coast Adventure!
Wow, what an absolutely incredible trip to the Amalfi Coast! From start to finish, for a first time traveller it was truly amazing and has left me with so many fantastic memories.
Most Inspirational Moment
I can't recommend this trip enough to anyone who's intrigued by the fascinating history of the Amalfi Coast – I even got to see skeletal remains from such an important piece of its past! As someone who enjoys spending time in nature, it was a dream to be surrounded by so many beautiful views, from stunning ocean vistas to lush green plants and vibrant, colourful flowers. The cuisine perfectly complements the vibrant scenery outside, bursting with flavour and truly tasting authentic.

the real star of the show was Veriano, our guide. He was simply phenomenal! His passion for the Amalfi Coast and its rich history genuinely shone through as he guided us through the various towns. He brought everything to life, sharing captivating stories and insights. What made it even more special was when he spontaneously took us to Atrani, going off-itinerary just to share another hidden gem – that's dedication for you! His knowledge and enthusiasm made every moment truly memorable.
Advice for Potential Travellers
Comfy shoes are a must – there's lots of walking, especially stairs, but it's worth it! Pack light and layer up. Use Multibanco ATMs to save on fees. Carry cash for tips and those lovely barbecue evenings (often paid separately).
The Most Wonderful Week!
We spent the week at the Dui Torri hotel and restaurant this was our “home base”. The Hotel was clean and updated the view from our balcony was breathtaking. The hotel staff was top notch always smiling and helpful with any requests. The daily trips were well planned and organized, and I was able to enjoy them all! The food was great and the area had some great local restaurants that were not only delicious but extremely reasonable. Walking the streets in the neighborhood were also enchanting people were always quick to offer a “Buongiorno” as you walked past them in the street. We are looking forward to our next Exodus vacation.

Standing at the end of the garden in Ravello was the most inspiring, but everyday had an amazing moments that will not be forgotten.
Thoughts on Group Leader
Our group leader was Veriano Verde, and he was what made this trip more amazing than it might have been. He took time to explain things and had the patience of a saint our group was a little rambunctious but he kept everything under control. His knowledge was only overtaken by his wit. I really hope I can run into him again as he might have been the highlight of the Amalfi Coast.
Advice for Potential Travellers
I would recommend this as it takes you completely through the Amalfi Coast, you get sometime in each city. If you are lucky enough to get Veriano as your guide you are in for an amazing time.
Amazing
Let me start with Veriano was absolutely delightful, knowledgeable and personable. He made our adventure unforgettable. He answered all out questions and believe me our group had a lot. He made us laugh and showed us things we would never look for on our own. He always Reminded us to make sure we use our seatbelts every time we entered our bus. Looking forward to planning another trip with exodus. Hopefully we would be lucky enough to get Veriano again or someone as professional and friendly as him. Exodus is lucky to have someone like Veriano on their staff.

A Dreamy Escape Along the Amalfi Coast
I had the most amazing experience on the Highlights of the Amalfi Coast tour! The breath taking hikes, fascinating historical sites like Pompeii, and charming coastal towns were made even better by our incredible guide, who shared local insights and history at every turn. The group was small and fun, making it feel more personal, and staying in a family-run hotel gave the trip an authentic touch. I highly recommend this adventure to anyone looking for a perfect balance of culture, nature, and relaxation!

The most inspiring moment for me was standing atop the Path of the Gods, gazing at the endless views of the coastline and Mediterranean Sea. The sense of achievement after the hike, combined with the breath taking beauty, made me feel deeply connected to the natural world. Our guide, Severio's passion for the region's history and culture during that moment added a layer of meaning that made it truly unforgettable.

For travellers heading to the Amalfi Coast, pack comfortable walking shoes since the terrain can be steep and uneven. Embrace local culture by learning a few Italian phrases, and prepare for a blend of hiking, historical exploration, and relaxation. Be mindful of the Mediterranean climate, and bring sunscreen and a hat for sunny days. Finally, don’t miss out on trying local cuisine and lemon-based specialties, as food is a key highlight of the region.

Check you are happy with a group approach especially at the hotel .. dining together every night .. not high quality of food or drinks
Great adventure
We had a wonderful time exploring the Amalfi coast. The food was outstanding! The cooking demos are fun! The staff at the hotel are very sweet and accommodating.

Our group leader was awesome! We had a few weather related changes to our itinerary. He made sure that we did everything by changing things/plans expertly! He made us feel welcome and comfortable. Loved Severrio’s sense of humor!

Lots of food! Plan for several large courses! Impossible to eat it all. But difficult to stop because it so very good.
Everything we expected
Everything worked as we expected it to (even the weather wasn’t too bad). Transfers and transportation were smooth and comfortable. The base hotel had all the amenities, had good food and was authentic Italian hospitality.

Explore the local area as well as the visits - Bomerano is a lovely little village and more peaceful than some of the towns we visited.
