While walking in the Alps you can also cross the border into to Switzerland. On this part of the route you can hike past wildflower meadows with views of the Trient Glacier towards the chocolate-box Alpine towns of Martigny and Orsières with formidable mountain panoramas as your backdrop.

For a slower pace, why not trek in the Julian Alps in Slovenia, to see the towering Mount Špik and beautiful Higher Falls. On our Slovenia Alps trip, you can also explore the Karavanke Mountain Range and head off the beaten track to hike to the peak of Golica (1836m) for a truly unforgettable view.

All trips need a number of key ingredients to come together to make it work. The first is an interesting and varied itinerary, the second an effective and efficient leader. Finally, your fellow travellers. We were fortunate enough to have all three on our late February 2025 visit and we had the most amazing & relaxing time really getting to see the real Kerala.
