The trek passes contrasting sections of the wall, with both dilapidated and rebuilt stretches and is situated in an incredibly picturesque location by a lake. The name Huanghuacheng translates as Yellow Flower City, as during summer the surrounding mountains are swathed in yellow as wildflowers bloom.
