When is the best time to visit Turkey?

Between July and August, temperatures can get extremely hot in Turkey which might not be suitable for some activities. However, you’re less likely to see rainstorms during the summer months. Spring and autumn are the best times to enjoy Turkey tours as the landscapes are still beautiful, the temperatures are cooler and there are fewer tourists on the beaches. It does tend to get quite chilly in the evenings though and there’s always a chance of rain.

What are the best things to do in Istanbul?

This vibrant city is packed with historical sites, lively markets and striking architecture, so you’re never short of things to do in Istanbul. Walk through the old city, Sultanahmet, to see the famous Blue Mosque and Hagia Sophia Mosque, the Roman Hippodrome and the Egyptian Obelisk of Theodosius. With over 3,000 stalls selling books, spices and handmade jewellery, the Grand Bazaar is another sight not to be missed when exploring the city. Overlooking the coast, the Topkapi Palace is rich in Ottoman history, and you can wander through the chamber houses and see the collections of jewels, weaponry and religious artefacts.
