It’s hot!
Amazing country packed with beautiful birds , wildlife, scenery and friendly people. Hot and humid in February a bit of rain but not cold unless at altitude.
Snorkelling at Drake Bay
Our group leader was Ana and she went out of her way to give us a great holiday experience. Not everybody in our group had the same opinion and were challenging at times.
Bring lots of bug spray, an umbrella for short showers when poncho would be too hot. Water shoes. Rash vest for snorkelling in for Drake Bay. Take a day bag - note you will want to use your day bag when your suitcase and hand luggage is in transit between hotels.
Perfect excluding Air Europa
Completing Torres del Paine Hike
Brilliant , just the best.
Don't take too many US dollars most places take credit cards
Overall it was an outstanding experience. We got to challenge ourselves while in the hands of an extremely good guide, who kept us safe. The Dolomites are truly amazing.
The trek to the top of Strudelkopf, yes that really is the name of the mountain. But the strudel came later. Other than the fact that Hotel Adler is such a fun place to stay, its most impressive feature is its authenticity.
Jeffery may very well be the best leader I’ve ever known. He clearly cares a great deal about the people he guides. He knew how to read situations and the pulse of the group. He did so in a friendly way, and demonstrated endless patience.
Make sure you have plenty of clothing combinations. Various layers that can be interchanged with each other. We left out a rainproof layer and that was a mistake. Train for it, it is going to test you.
The Discover Sri Lanka trip was a wonderful combination of culture, activities and rest.
Many! Spending time with families and seeing how they live was very memorable.
Roshan. Excellent. Knowledgeable, approachable and very concerned about every participant.
Go on this trip!
Costa Rica is incredible and made more so with our guide Johnny.
Seeing a sloth
Johnny was the best guide I have ever had. He is extremely knowledgable.
Lovely way to explore the Maldives though I felt the chances of seeing let alone swimming with Whale Sharks was exaggerated
Swimming with Manta Rays
Saf is a fun person to be around. He has boundless energy.
Be prepared for hours of whale shark hunting on the Dhoni
This was a good way to see all Sri Lanka has to offer.

An excellent way to get to know the beautiful Amalfi Coast. There was a lot of walking & very many steps, but we knew that from the Exodus trip notes, & had prepared.
The weather wasn’t entirely reliable, no surprise in February, but most days were dry after a wet start.
The accommodation was good, with like vely food & drink and the kitchen visits to see preparation of local specialities were great.
Transport was provided by local minibus drivers, who were very careful on the twisty roads.
Veriano, our group leader, was lovely, knowledgeable & well connected locally, so he gave us a great time. He had to recast our first day totally due to bad weather, but still found a good alternative walk.
Climbing to the summit of Vesuvius & even a little way into the crater, to stand by the monitoring equipment among steaming fumaroles.
Veriano was excellent. He is a local, and knew exactly where to take us & who to introduce us to. He was very helpful when group members had minor problems. At the same time, he was not too intrusive.
We felt we'd chosen a great time of year for our trip. Hotspots like Amalfi, Positano, Pompeii & Vesuvius were busy enough, & must be very crowded in high season. The lack of crowds more than made up for the odd bit of rain. Do take seriously the trip note advice about all the steps, particularly as very many of these are irregular rocky steps rather than even, man-made ones.
A full-on trip which took us to most of the must-see places in Costa Rica
Loved the wildlife hike in Manuel Antonio

Prepare for the humidity - it’s hard to get clothes dry so bring plenty of cycling shorts
