Lots of different types of Lemurs, which are very cute and fascinating to watch -limited wildlife beyond them though. Broad range of scenery as you progress down the country, long days on the bus but that did have the upside of letting you see a lot of the country and people close up (the downsides of sitting on a bus for 12 hours will be obvious!). Our guide broke the journey every 2 hours or so with a stop at a village, toilet break, or something. We had a good crowd on the bus which helped the time pass. Accommodation was OK, clean everywhere, a bit basic in most hotels, especially the one in Tana (The Belvedere). WiFi was in each hotel but in half of them it was very slow (don’t expect to download or stream anything). Our guide, Claudia, was excellent, I don’t think I’d have gone as high as 4 stars without her being the guide.

Be prepared for long time on buses.
I have never been to Greece or an Exodus trip before and feel trip was the best introduction to Greece.
The walks & treks were easy apart from one challenging section when descending the Caldera in Santorini and was nice to explore on own your own or relax after taken part in the group activity.
The food is amazing – such a wide choice especially for vegetarians and the people were friendly. I would definitely recommend this trip.
Walking the volcanic caldera from Fira to Oia. The views were amazing and peaceful. The trek was a bit tricky but was worth it.
The Group Leader Thanos was amazing. He was friendly, knowledgeable and informed us of interesting facts and the history of each island. He informed us of our activities everyday and told us what to expect.
I recommend good walking shoes as the walking down the caldera can be difficult and a bit slippery. I also recommend taking a book as the ferry journey is long. The ferries feels like you are on a cruise ship as there so many facilities onboard.
The Petra and Wadi Rum trek was amazing!! A fantastic insight into Jordan and how the locals live their life and get to see how beautiful the scenery is. The walks were great fun and was nice to be away from busy life and experience a country for what it truly is! A must visit and also felt totally safe while I was there!
Climbing up Burdha Bridge what a view and also Petra a fascinating city!
The best, Abdulha was amazing in very way, very knowledgeable, good sense of humor, made me feel safe. Cared for everyone's needs!
Bring both warm and cold clothing as gets very cold at night in the Desert
Another memorable holiday with Exodus!
Vietnam has exceeded all expectations! Definitely one of my favorite destinations and one to strongly recommend.
Perfectly organized. We saw the modern and traditional side of Vietnam. We had the best support team on our cycling days!
We had good breaks between cycling and sightseeing days. We had the most relaxed leader CHI NGUYEN who allowed us time to ourselves, time to enjoy and do our own thing, which is something I appreciate a lot on holidays as the pressure of following the plan is sometimes too much in group holidays. Words are poor to express my gratitude to our amazing team of leader, mechanic, supportive staff.
The weather was as expected. Sunny and hot as it is in these countries. Our hotel rooms where fantastic air condition available , we had a swimming pool available in most of them .
Whale Island was beautiful and the people so friendly and welcoming.
The food!!!!!!!!! was just amazing! Every day we tasted a different dish. As a vegeterian I think I had the best menu choices. I can’t talk enough about the food in Vietnam. Back home for two weeks now and I am already trying all these amazing receipes.
Chi! (Chi Nguyen) : your kindness, calmness , confidence, knowledge, your talent, but most of all your humility as a person are impressive. I consider myself a very lucky lady to have met you and it was an honor to have you as a leader on our holiday.
Thank you for showing us your amazingly beautiful country!
Ey! our sweet smiling tender-hearted mechanic!
I wouldn’t have made it without your help and encouragement? Thank you for supporting us all, thank you for your patience , thank you for the smiles, the laughs !
Truong and Nhan !
You guys have earned a very special place in my heart!
You made the road easy to run with your positive energy, with your smiles and your kindness! Thank you for all the care, the fruit, the water!!!!!!,! But most of all thank you for being there!
The colours, the flavors, the views and all of you beautiful people, will stay in my heart for ever!
Definitely coming back to Vietnam very soon!
THANK YOU TO ALL OF YOU AT EXODUS! I can’t praise enough your staff in Vietnam. Thank you for giving us the opportunity to meet theses wonderful people.
A great week with such a variety and great group. The first time this trip has run and some of the walks were a little challenging along the coast and two hotels disappointing. Chose to use BA flights and arrived day ahead which meant we had time to relax to enjoy Chania plus the flight times much better for no more money.
Definitely the gorge and completing it.
Very good x 2
Take walkingpoles, lots of water and avoid late night Easy-jet arrival and departure flights. Get there a day ahead and enjoy Chania its wonderful.
The trip was a good mix of sights and wildlife. We were a group of 3 couples and 6 people travelling alone so having a 22 seater coach was good as it didn’t force anyone to sit together with a stranger at the beginning. We had a good group and everyone got on well together.
My main reason for travelling to Africa is always viewing wildlife and therefore for me walking to see rhinos in Maputo NP and the full day in Hwange were the best. The scenery in the Bulawayo area was also completely different and interesting.
Cesar (Ceasar?)was an excellent leader, always on top of everything and always kept us informed. He is also an excellent cook and his meals in the Okavango Delta were the best we had during the trip. The driver Sofiso was also good and sociable.
Depending on the time of year bring warm clothing for early mornings but also sunblock as during our trip the day's temperature ranged from 9C to 29C and add wind factor in when in open safari vehicles and you can see you go from cold to hot easily. We all did the night safari and like someone mentioned in a previous review we didn't see much - we saw a couple of male lions which was good but that was more or less it and we were all really cold on our return.
This is a beautiful country with breath-taking mountainous scenery. Although some drives are long the tour takes you to really intersting places large and small, that are well worth visiting and carefully chosen. The accommodation is varied (eg within the castle walls at Berat or in a Natioinal Park) but always good and clean. You learn a lot about the lives of the Albanian people and their long and often turbulant history. And although the food is fairly simple it is really delicious and the freshest I’ve ever eaten, thanks to all the produce being grown locally. The local fish (Koran)from lake Ohrid was really tasty. The freshness of the food was one of the high points of my trip. The people are genuinely friendly. I thoroughly enjoyed seeing so much of this varied country
Goodness! What to say? I enjoyed so much of the trip... the mountains, seeing all the amazing produce growing all around in the country side, the remaining Ottoman houses and mosques and the few Byzantine churches that survived the communist destruction, the old towns like Kruje and Girokastra. The Icon museum in Korce. Also hearing from the owners of two fascinating Ottoman houses we visited whose families had managed (just) to keep their homes during the communist regime.
Our group leader was hard working and very well organised and the trip ran smoothly. We always had interesting stops en route, and good places to eat. However his level of English was not what is expected of a professional tour guide, and he had particular difficulties in pronunciation and the use of tenses which at times caused difficulty in understanding. But he was a nice guy who was very knowledgable, punctual and worked hard for us.
Enjoy being in a country on the cusp of being on the tourist map. So some museums are still being refurbished and some coastal areas are not yet highly developed. Enjoy the amazing local produce but dont expect your dishes to necessarily arrive when you expect them! Enjoy the countryside - drink from mountain springs and bathe in hot springs. Enjoy visiting castles and ancient sites. You will see so much on this trip.
Excellent organisation throughout and just the right balance of walking and culture. Lots of opportunities to taste and learn about different types. of Prosecco.
For me the most inspiring activity was the day trip to Venice in which we had a backstreet tour by the excellent Chloe and a fascinating visit and talk in the studio of a gondola oar maker.
Veriano was assiduous in guiding and looking after us at all times. I really appreciated the extra meals he organised in the evening for us in the early part of the trip. Eating together really helped the 13 of us to gel, and we did. He went above and beyond on our day off helping us plan our trips with train/bus timetables and even menus of local restaurants. He had a great sense of humour which kept us going when the walking was more challenging, 'just five more minutes....'
Quite a few people have written about the ascents and descents. It is true there are plenty of them on this walk and the descents can be slippery if it has been raining. But I don't think you need to be particularly fit to do this holiday. Do consider bringing sticks though. There are also comments in other reviews about low temperatures at the higher altitudes on the final day's walk. Our holiday was the first week of June and I didn't need a fleece or jacket at any point. The weather can be changeable though so bring waterproofs. It is easy to get to Venice on your own on the free day.
Corsica was much more mountainous and greener than we had expected. The walks were through beautiful countryside and it was great fun using the local railway to start/end some of the walks. Most of the paths were good, but some were quite steep and one had been eradicated by the wild pigs (but the guide found the path again!) We were lucky to have sunny weather all week, so all planned walks were achievable, though some may not have been possible if it had been wet.
Reaching the Richjusa Gorge after bouldering up the river - not suitable for everyone!
Absolutely excellent - great fun, wonderful english (he was Italian), very knowledgeable, coped well with the gruop who had very different walking speeds
Always carry a lightweight waterproof coat and rucksack cover a syou never know when it may rain
I travelled independantly with a small group of friends on the 24th May and joined the group in the Tirana hotel.
The itinerary was excellent and the hotels, bus and our driver were all very good. The only thing that let the trip down was the guide and this had a very detri.ental effect on our holiday.
Our group leader,Arthur, spike very poor English, often translating things word for word (FROM Italian or Albanian) .this made it very difficult to understand especially as his pronunciation was so poor. He constantly repeated the same facts which became very waring and talked almost all the time on the bus even when asked for some quiet ti.e. When people stopped listening he shouted louder and several times he snapped at some of the group. He became angry when people wanted to visit sights and museums and I found myself avoiding him at all times.
this was an interesting trip if you had a different guide.
