Chichen Itza Trips
The largest, most significant Mayan site in Mexico, Chichen Itza served as the political and economic centre of the pre-Columbian civilisation. Its various structures – the Temple of Kukulkan, Temple of Chac Mool, and Great Ball Court – can still be seen on Chichen Itza tours today and are demonstrative of an extraordinary commitment to architectural space and composition. The iconic stepped pyramid, which is also known as El Castillo, was the last, and arguably greatest, of all Mayan temples. The city is the jewel in the crown of the Yucatan Peninsula.
