The family run hotel was perfectly located, clean, welcoming and personal service from the wonderful staff.
The food was great, so much on offer too. Couldn’t be faulted.
Leave your book behind as the days are exhilaratingly long!
The hiking was very varied, I went in July ‘24 and the flowers in the meadows and along all routes were stunning.
Tomas was our wonderful local guide, we were with him during his first year. This made no odds as he knew the location so well. Every view looked down on a village of one relative or another!
Try the local blue cheese , it’s delicious and the hotel stocks the award winning product produced by Tomás’ mum.

Denise Mills Classic Dolomites – Premium AdventureThe walking in the Dolomites exceeded my expectations. The scenery was spectacular & the walks a good Level 3. However the hotel and food were less than expected for 4 star premium experience and really let the overall experience down.
As a solo traveller I was once again relegated to the back of the hotel in a room that, although a decent size, was very much in need of refurbishment. The tiny handkerchief size curtains on the windows afforded no privacy as my room looked straight out into the windows of the house behind. There were 2 single beds but luckily I found out that they could be made up into a double if requested, which basically meant pushing them together.
As another reviewer has said, the food was really poor and I can honestly say I didn’t enjoy any of the evening meals. The food that was delivered to the vegans & vegetarians was absolutely shameful.
DAMIAN O'NEILL Mont Blanc HighlightsThe scenery in the Chamonix valley is stunning and this trip is well named as it certainly highlighted the highlights. Our group stayed in Chalet Chapula and we couldn’t have asked for better hosts or chalet companions.
Laura and Gonzalo provided us with excellent meals every day and were very approachable and helpful. Les Houches is a busy but laid back area of Chamonix and a great location to start our walks from.
