Adventure Holidays to Kas

Kaş – pronounced “Cash” – on the Teke Peninsulais a small town with a chilled atmosphere. It’s perfectly positioned for those wishing to explore the glittering coastline, canyons and rivers of this part of southern Turkey, and welcomes both adventure seekers and those seeking a more relaxed time, alike.

Here you can explore on foot, by bike or even kayak; scuba dive or snorkel; and visit the impressive Saklikent Gorge and Patara National Park, with its Roman ruins and glorious beach. The mountains behind Kaş are riddled with deep canyons offering some of the most impressive natural phenomena in the Taurus Mountains, with spectacular gorges where springs and waterfalls cascade into the rapidly flowing cold river.

Kayaking the Turquoise Coast

Kas

Paddle one of the finest stretches of the Mediterranean, discovering sunken wonders and secluded bays

Culture

This six day trip includes two days paddling in the Gocek area followed by three days in the historical Kekova area and then one free day in beautiful Kas. Both kayaking areas are sheltered from any winds and have no currents and warm turquoise waters. Paddles are about 15 km each day so they are great for competent kayakers. The boats are sea kayaks, some new and some well used , singles and doubles. Our guide Alper was a very good kayaker with a lovely warm personality, and excellent English. His experience, leadership and organizational skills were great. Being a local, he knew the history of the area and was familiar with all the nooks and crannies. Our small group of eight made for a perfect kayaking adventure.

Good driver. Excellent guide. Hotels well chosen. Itinerary great. Initial Airport pickup bit chaotic.
