Late getaways departing in April
April is a fantastic time for travel. Key destinations across Europe and Asia, are in full bloom, making both walking and cycling trips particularly nice this time of year. Morocco’s mild temperatures and fewer tourists make it perfect for a cultural adventure. While in India, temperatures are heating up, making it prime time for spotting tigers around waterholes on safari.
April is a great month to experience the almond blossom season in Spain on our Sierra de Aitana Trek. By April, the trees across this region are usually in full bloom, creating a beautiful display of pink and white flowers against the backdrop of the limestone mountains. It’s also a quieter period for travel, so you’ll be able to experience the beauty of the blossom season and hiking trails without the crowds. When it comes to cycling, April is a fantastic time for Cycling in Japan, as the weather is mild and the famous cherry blossoms are in full bloom, creating stunning views along the routes. Riding along the Kibi Plain, you’ll pedal through scenic rice fields and past ancient burial mounds and historic temples framed by Sakura.
If you’re looking for a last-minute cultural adventure, it’s an ideal month for visiting Morocco on our Marrakech & The Sahara trip. In Marrakech, the temperatures are comfortably warm, making it great for exploring Jardin Majorelle, the souks and key historical sites like the Koutoubia Mosque. The desert offers pleasant conditions for camel treks and cooler, clear nights that are perfect for stargazing. You may even find the Draa Valley, that is mostly arid, blooming with flowers and vibrant greenery along the riverbanks this time of year.
For wildlife, our India Safari trip is a great choice to book for April. As the weather heats up, wildlife tends to gather around waterholes, making sightings more frequent in national parks like Bandhavgarh and Ranthambhore. April is prime time for spotting the elusive Bengal tiger in the wild, alongside possible sightings of leopards and sloth bears. The dry conditions also make the parks more accessible and easier to navigate, with clearer views of wildlife in the sparse, open landscapes.
