We had a lovely time touring Central Europe. At the beginning, we experienced epic flooding all along the Danube River. It rained for the first 2 days of our trip, but we made do and enjoyed what we could.

Budapest Trips
Budapest is a city split in two: divided by the Danube, and re-connected by the iconic Chain Bridge. On one side, there’s Buda, dominated by the Castle Hill palace complex high above the river; on the other, there’s cosmopolitan Pest, home to the Széchenyi thermal baths and City Park. Whichever side of the river you’re based on, Budapest trips should include a visit to the Great Market Hall plus a river cruise for close-up views of the neo-gothic parliament building on the waterfront. As well as being the capital of Hungary, Budapest is also an ancient spa town, so spending a morning or afternoon soaking in hot healing waters is a traditional pastime to enjoy. In recent years, the city has become famous for its ruin bars, and there’s a burgeoning gastronomic scene here, too.
