Late getaways departing in February
February may bring short, cold, and gloomy days, but there’s no better remedy for the winter blues than having an exciting trip to look forward to. Rather than waiting impatiently indoors for spring to arrive, why not browse our fantastic range of last-minute adventures below? Your next big adventure in 2025 could be right around the corner.
February brings dry, sunny weather to Costa Rica, with temperatures averaging 25-30°C, creating ideal conditions for cycling through lush rainforests and along the Pacific and Caribbean coasts on our Costa Rica Coast to Coast Ride. This month is also prime wildlife viewing season in East Africa, with warm, dry weather encouraging a diverse array of wildlife to congregate around the waterholes which you can spot on game drives during our Kenya & Tanzania Adventure. It’s also the best time to see the wildebeest calving season.
For an adventure closer to home, our Walking the Island of Madeira is an excellent choice for some winter sun in February, thanks to its year-round mild Mediterranean climate. During this time, you’ll find that the famous Levada trails are wonderfully serene and quiet without the summer crowds. Or if you want to soak up that winter magic before it melts, head on our Italian Dolomites Cross-country Skiing adventure. February offers reliable, well-packed snow, which means your trails for cross-country skiing will be in prime condition. You can also expect sunny clear days with crisp, cool temperatures – and if you’re lucky, you may even experience the “Alpenglow” phenomenon—when the snowcapped peaks glow pink or orange at sunset.
Feeling inspired? You could be on an extraordinary adventure sooner than you think!
