Very enjoyable trip, with a nice variety of different walking routes. Luckily our group was on a similar fitness level, so we were able to always walk together. Most challenging are the stairs, felt like never ending… but the views were worth the effort.
The hotel is good regarding staff (very friendly and great service) and cleanness . Dinner was sometimes really nice, on other days a bit fade, which I found unusual for Italian cuisine. The breakfast was poor, unfortunately, every day the same (limited) choice, warm dishes were only offered during the first days. The standard rooms are small and can be dark, the superior room was nice (although at rather high extra cost, something for Exodus to rethink…). While the trip is highly recommended for the walks and overall experiences (5 stars), the hotel gets only 3 stars… also the “Eierschalensollbruchstellenverursacher” was missing for breakfast 😉

Frederick Giglio Highlights of the Amalfi CoastWe spent the week at the Dui Torri hotel and restaurant this was our “home base”. The Hotel was clean and updated the view from our balcony was breathtaking. The hotel staff was top notch always smiling and helpful with any requests. The daily trips were well planned and organized, and I was able to enjoy them all! The food was great and the area had some great local restaurants that were not only delicious but extremely reasonable. Walking the streets in the neighborhood were also enchanting people were always quick to offer a “Buongiorno” as you walked past them in the street. We are looking forward to our next Exodus vacation.

Where is the Amalfi Coast?
The Amalfi Coast stretches along the southern coastline of Italy’s Sorrentine Peninsula. It’s roughly 50km long and features beautiful towns and cities along the way, including Amalfi, Ravello, and Positano.
The easiest way to get to the Amalfi Coast is by plane. You can fly direct from UK airports to Naples and from there, you can travel by train, taxi, or bus to the town you’re staying in. If you travel with Exodus, we can arrange all your travel and will organise your flights too at a small added cost. This means you can enjoy a stress-free journey from start to finish!
With more than 50km of coastline to explore, you won’t be short on things to do when you arrive. You can explore the popular towns of Capri and Positano or visit the tourist attractions in the region such as:

There are several ways to get around this gorgeous region of southern Italy. You can get ferries from port to port during the summer months and enjoy stunning views while avoiding any traffic during peak travel times. Alternatively, you can get buses around the Amalfi Coast, which are one of the more cost-effective ways to travel to all of the popular tourist spots here.
The two best times to visit the Amalfi Coast are between September and October or April and May. This is because the weather is great but not too hot, so you can explore without needing frequent breaks in air-conditioned cafés. What’s more, these times are outside of peak season, so you’ll be able to enjoy smaller queues for all of the attractions.
The Amalfi Coast is 50km long and sits on the southern coast of Italy.
Naples is the nearest airport to the Amalfi Coast, and you can fly direct from many airports around the UK. From there, you can get a train, taxi, bus, or ferry to your accommodation.
It can be very hot on the Amalfi Coast and UV rays can be high, which means lightweight clothing that covers your skin should be worn when you visit. Be sure to pack a hat and sunglasses to protect your head when exploring throughout the day and then pack your most stylish outfits for the evening time. The Amalfi Coast is known for being a sophisticated destination, so you’ll want to fit in when you visit restaurants and bars along the coast.
Flying to the Amalfi Coast for a holiday means travelling to Naples, then finding alternate transport to get to the region. Direct flights from the UK to Naples take the following amount of time:
- London to Naples: 2 hours 40 minutes
- Manchester to Naples: 3 hours 5 minutes
- Bristol to Naples: 2 hours 45 minutes
- Edinburgh to Naples: 3 hours 10 minutes
It’s sunny weather for most of the year in this part of Italy. Summer months like July average highs of 29°C and lows of 22°C, which makes it a great time for lying on the beach and exploring the beautiful islands just off the coast.
However, during the cooler months like January, you can expect highs of 12°C and lows of 8°C, which is a mild temperature for taking in all of the cultural sights. There’s a lot of walking required during an Amalfi Coast tour, so some prefer to visit when the temperatures are lower.
