The Radical Sabbatical  

“I love that we’re getting to see unique parts of the Prosecco Hills, but that we also get days to explore cities in the area. On the 3rd day, we walked through Valdobbiadene, amongst the beautiful hills and rows of glera grapevines. Around midday, we made a surprise stop at a place called Osteria Senz’oste, which translates to “Osteria without a host.”

Our guide Vania shared the osteria’s entertaining backstory with us and then led us up a hill behind it where at the top were several vending machines stocked with bottles of Prosecco, meats and cheeses! I would never have dreamed such a thing existed there! We were all floored by it. This is a photo of me with the bottle I bought for the entire group to share and we toasted our lovely trip and the spectacular view from the hilltop!”

“Where to begin? Andaluśia is a magical place. I loved staying in the Cortijo Rosado. It was a wonderfully warm place to call home for the week. I really enjoyed dinner each night with the group on the back patio watching the sunset over the olive groves. It was the most perfect, peaceful setting.

The hikes were so picturesque and I especially loved visiting the village of Sentenil de las Bodegas. Walking the Caminito del Rey was also incredible. It was an unforgettable week and I would love to go back someday!”

“This was my first time in the French Riviera and walking the coastal trails was a special way to see it! The walks along the Côte D’Azur were some of the most beautiful of the trip thus far. My favorite day was in Cap Ferrat. The walks and gardens there were nothing short of spectacular.

Villa Ephrussi de Rothschild was a true highlight. You can spend hours wandering around the gardens and feel like no one else is there. I also enjoyed exploring Menton. The boardwalk is fantastic and so was the food! “
