VIETNAM ADVENTURE
A fabulous trip which lived up to all my expectations and more
Most Inspirational Moment
For me the Mekong Delta was just fascinating. A complete community living and operating on the resources around them via little cottage industries.Fresh food supplied in abundance from little boats. Visiting a nursery which just shows how kids are the same no matter where you go-they just love to pose for a photo!
Thoughts on Group Leader
Fantastic so knowledgeable and so aware of the needs of the group.Everything was so well organised.
Advice for Potential Travellers
Just enjoy every minute and when crossing the road just go for it and the traffic will move around you!

CYCLING CUBA
Enjoyed getting to see Cuba up close and personal in a way that most tourist won’t. Found the group really compatible and lots of variety in the places we cycled.
Most Inspirational Moment
For me it had to be the time we got to spend in the Sierra Maestra Mountains
Thoughts on Group Leader
OK, but a bit burnt out since he had been doing back to back cycle trips for quite a while.
Advice for Potential Travellers
The two currency system really limits interaction with Cubans. Can't just stop at a local food stall for example. Found that quite frustrating. Also with the state running everything there was incredible amount of bureaucracy. For example, when you change money you will get a lot of large bills (50CUC notes), then if you want to use for a transaction you need to produce passport and provide address to shopkeeper!

LAND OF THE TIGER
A very cohesive group with an exceptional leader. The quest for the tiger was disappointing as we only had a very brief glimpse after 17 game drives! However there was other ,less glamorous wildlife, and the group was good fun.
Most Inspirational Moment
The Taj Mahal in Agra was truly awe inspiring ! The overnight train journey was also very memorable.
Thoughts on Group Leader
Our leader Balinder (Bali) Singh was exceptional-very sensitive, sensible with a great love and knowledge of his country with a wicked sense of humour !
Advice for Potential Travellers
This is a "full on" trip-not for wimpish lie-ins-India is an amazing place full of paradox but unmissable. Expect to be tired but happy when you return home !

CYCLE INDOCHINA & ANGKOR
Both had a great time but the guide in Vietnam was a poor cyclist and could not keep up with the group. We all got lost in Thailand as the support vehicles did not know the way and allowed part of the group to go ahead. The whole group got split up and everyone was lost for an hour on the first day.
We were worried about being part of a group as we had only cycled on holiday abroad as couple before.
We needn’t have worried !
Our group of 18 was, though, far too large especially for the guides.
Most Inspirational Moment
Crossing the border into Vietnam to be met by village children rushing out of their homes on the roadside, to say hello and wave to us!
Thoughts on Group Leader
Our group leader for the whole trip, Mo, was great although she had a difficult task at times especially as our group of 18 was too large.
Our Cambodian guide was great but the Vietnam guide was useless.
Advice for Potential Travellers
We were glad to have brought our own bikes as some of the others on the trip had problems with the hire ones being poorly maintained or the wrong size.

MARRAKECH & THE SAHARA
I felt that the tour was an excellent for both solo and people traveling as couples. The tour also had a good mix of walking and culture which I enjoyed. We were always kept busy, and I liked this pace, we fitted a lot into a week.
Most Inspirational Moment
One inspirational moment for me was the camel trek in the desert, with a long line of camels walking up and down the sand dunes, travelling slowly towards our desert camp.
Thoughts on Group Leader
The tour leader was very friendly and had good knowledge of all the places that we visited and stayed. Also the group leader was good at making sure that everyone was having a good time and alright.
Advice for Potential Travellers
If I had any advice to any potential travellers thinking about doing this tour, it would be, when you spend the night in the desert bring enough warm clothes to keep you warm all night. It will be much colder than you think!

Woody was excellent from start to finish, extremely knowledgeable and passionate about Antarctica, friendly, open and worked brilliantly with the Ships Captain/Crew to get us lots of fantastic landings and cruising opportunities. He was ably assisted by the rest of his expedition crew who were all also fantastic.
Advice for Potential Travellers
Go... A definite must do atleast once in your life. Antarctica is awesome.

SNOWSHOEING IN THE DOLOMITES
Wonderful holiday, great leader, good company, correct activity level for grade of trip, good balance of activity and relaxation, lovely hotel with good facilities and welcoming staff. Would wholeheartedly recommend.
Most Inspirational Moment
Scenary was beautiful... great to be able to get out into unspoilt areas. Some truely magnificent views. Snowshoeing is also lots of fun! Also enjoyed the range of refreshments on offer in the mountain huts.
Thoughts on Group Leader
Good guide, experienced and safe leader, also had a good sense of humour and allowed the group to bond quickly and for all to feel included. Gave us enough information to enjoy discovering the area without feeling information overloaded whilst on holiday! Made group safety a priority. Made sure we had a wonderful week.
Advice for Potential Travellers
If you like being up in the mountains this trip is a truely memorable experience and highly recommended. Be prepared for extreme cold however so take appropriate clothing. Waterproof ski mittens over the top of gloves particularly helpful! The hotel is wonderful and has great heating so no worries about getting things dried out overnight. Make the most of the spa facilities- very relaxing afer a day on the hills!

CROSS-COUNTRY SKIING: KVITAVATN
A very active holiday in a beautiful and remote location
Most Inspirational Moment
gliding across frozen lakes covered in snow with the sun shining and nobody else around Standing at the top of a mountain pass looking out across the mountains one morning having just watched heroes of telemark on dvd the night before in the lodge- it gave a real feel of what those men went through in WWII.
Thoughts on Group Leader
We had two - they divided their time between both groups. Mary and Ilse were both excellent, profficient at the sport and their local knowledge was excellent
Advice for Potential Travellers
Dont forget your gaiters. Cross country skiing in Kvitavatn is not limited to the tracks - all terrains are covered so you will spend a lot of time in deep snow.If you dont have gaiters you get very wet feet!Go to the gym and work out on a cross trainer before you go - any preparation is worthwhile as the trip is very active and you will find muscles you didnt know you had!Dispel any notion that its like alpine skiing as its nothing like it - far harder, far more energetic but definitely more worth while in my opinion!

CYCLE MOROCCO'S GREAT SOUTH
At last a road trip (as opposed to mountain biking) to Morocco, so you could look at the scenery rather than where your wheels are going. Good winter sun cycling that is easy to access to the UK and was well organised and well led.
Thoughts on Group Leader
First rate
Advice for Potential Travellers
Make sure you are wrapped up well against winter cold in the mountains; both on and off the bike.

A WEEK IN JORDAN
This was a fantastic trip and very good value for money, you see and do so much. Brilliant!
Most Inspirational Moment
Walking down the siq for our first glimpse of The Treasury for the Petra by candlelight evening.Exploring Petra, especially the 'adventure hike' we did to the high places above The Treasury. The night spent at Wadi Rum and seeing the amazing starlit sky.
Thoughts on Group Leader
Dani was just brilliant. He truly loved his country and was very knowledgeable. He was fun to be with and looked after us all very well. He was caring and considerate.
Advice for Potential Travellers
As we went in February and north Jordan had snow, I would suggest plenty of layers with more warm clothes than you might expect to pack. Take a good sleeping bag for the night in Wadi Rum. Comfy walking shoes/boots essential.
