FAQs on Europe Tours

Can I travel to Europe from the UK after Brexit?

Yes, you can travel to Europe from the UK after Brexit, but there is a chance you’ll need to get a visa, extra travel documents, and you will almost certainly need travel insurance that covers healthcare.

To learn more about what the requirements are for your chosen destination, view the government’s travel advice or contact our team.

How much does it cost to tour Europe?

The cost of your tour around Europe depends on several factors, including the length of your trip, the locations you choose to visit, activities, and whether you book including or excluding flights.

Exodus caters for every kind of traveller, so to understand how much your chosen adventure holiday to Europe might cost, view our trips and use the search filters to tailor your selection to your tour needs.

When is the best time to tour Europe?

The answer to when the best time is to tour Europe depends on your personal preferences! Indeed, every corner of the continent is worth visiting through all four seasons, from snowy and stark winter through to bright and welcoming summer.

If you are looking to visit well-travelled locations without crowds, the ‘shoulder seasons’ of April to mid-June and September to October have fewer crowds and comfortable temperatures. Of course, many of our European tours visit lesser-travelled corners of the continent, so feel free to book during your favourite season, and if you want to know the best time to tour your chosen destination, please get in touch.

What are the best places to visit in Europe?

Europe is enormously varied, offering unforgettable experiences for travellers of all persuasions, so deciding the best places to visit comes down to what you enjoy doing most.

Whether you love hiking, city breaks, mountains, rolling countryside, coastlines, forests, or anything in-between, get inspired via our Expert Insights hub of guides and articles.

What is the best way to tour Europe for the first time?

What types of activities can I do on my trip to Europe?

We offer a wide range of activities for our Europe tour groups. You can choose to take a trip focused on a single activity, like hiking, or select a mixed-activity holiday packed with all sorts of things to do – from the laid-back to the pulse-raising.

Walking, cycling, trekking, wildlife watching, cruises, cultural trips, and sports like climbing, kayaking, and snorkelling all feature – view our activities to learn more.

Are flights included on your Europe tours?

International flights are not included  in any of our tour prices, but for customers coming from the UK we can arrange flights for you including departures from regional airports where available.

All our trips have a specified rendezvous point where you will meet your guide and other members of the group, so we typically arrange flights that coincide with this. If you choose to fly on flights that do not marry up with the rendezvous point and time, can often arrange private transfer for you at additional cost. Please speak to your sales consultant about how to join your trip and the flights that best suit your plans.

Alternatively, you may be interested to travel from the UK by rail and many of our trips are accessible by train. For more information on joining our trips by train, please see here Travel by Train.

Can I take the train to Europe?

Of course, you can. And taking the train is easier than you might think as we continue to expand our train-booking services across our European trips.

Travelling by train on your next European tour will both increase your sense of adventure and lower your carbon impact. If you’re thinking of booking your tickets, just call a member of our Exodus team for routes, prices, and how to book.

What is the duration of your tours in Europe?

Although each trip is different from the next, a lot of our adventures start at eight days, with some reaching over 14 days.

Whether you’re dreaming of getting away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life on a cycling holiday in Europe, or breathing in the crisp, fresh winter air in the stunning surroundings of Lapland, we have all kinds of perfect Europe holidays waiting for you.

Are your Europe tours guided?

Most of our Europe tours feature small, guided groups, which is a great way to explore the places you want to see with like-minded travellers.

We also have self-guided holidays, private adventures, and tours perfect for premium adventurers. No matter what type of experience you’re looking for, we have you covered.
