Walking in Tuscany was an amazing experience

The accommodation was in an agriturismo farm. It was a very nice place to be with all the beautiful scenery around to view on waking. Elvis the dog was a great accompaniment.
The walking or hiking was tough in some places but on completion you felt a great sense of achievement. The food at the farm was delicious. Breakfast and lunch were self service but all was provided to make a hearty meal. Dinner was there courses of home made items.

Most Inspirational Moment

Reaching the summit of our climb on Thursday. It was very hard on the last third especially coming down but definitely achievable. The cave was also a great place to visit on you day off or if weather too bad to hike.

Sarah was very inspirational and motivating. She definitely got me out of my comfort zone. Nothing was too much for her to organise including our washing. It was inspiring to listen to her tales of adventures she has had in the past and characters she has had on her trips.

Advice for Potential Travellers

I would thoroughly recommend this trip for great scenery and amazing hikes. If a beginner like me then do get some basic hiking done before you go so the steeper trails are not too daunting. Sarah however makes everything achievable no matter how tough with her encouragement.

Beautiful Views, Memorable Moments!

I really would recommend this trip for the experiences it offers of the Amalfi coastline and its most fabulous landmarks. The scenery, views and opportunities to savour some of the best of Italian culture did not disappoint and will resonate with me for weeks to come. My only caveat would be for those who are uncertain of their capacity or willingness to endure some strenuous, extended hikes; the scenery certainly made it worthwhile, but some in the group questioned whether the physical demands were too high. This holiday isn’t for anyone looking for leisurely explorations of the Amalfi coast, although the hikes made the comforts of rest, relaxation and tasty food in between all the more appreciated! This was a well organised trip and I met some lovely people too. What’s not to like?!

Most Inspirational Moment

Walking the crater of Vesuvius and the 'Path of the Gods'!

Thoughts on Group Leader

Funny, friendly and organised!

Advice for Potential Travellers

Prepare in terms of fitness and/or consider if this type of walking holiday is what you are looking for.

Another Great Exodus Trip

Good trip with a nice balance of animals, culture and lodges.

Most Inspirational Moment

Up (very) close and personal with two wild rhino/ peace in the Okavango Delta

Thoughts on Group Leader

Very good always available and worked hard to look after us. Our Driver was also great.

Advice for Potential Travellers

Go to Zambia and see the Victoria Falls from that side.

A trip to another world!

I had no idea of the vast array of places, people, sights and sounds. There is something for everyone in Vietnam.

Most Inspirational Moment

Meeting a water buffalo in a rice field during the countryside excursion. Ha Long Bay is as beautiful as you'd imagine.

Thoughts on Group Leader

Our group leader, Trung, was brilliant! He ensured our group was relaxed from the start, and as a result we were all fast friends. He made sure all food intolerances were catered for, was so organised, knowledgeable and just a lovely, smiley, energetic force. It's impossible to be sad with Trung around.

Advice for Potential Travellers

You'll be able to get laundry done locally twice, maybe more, pack light so you have more space for souvenirs. Hoi An is great for tailor made clothes, shoes and bags. Watch out for the luggage limit on the internal flight. Just take VND rather than dollars, keep it simple. We only exchanged 2 million VND to take with us, but this isn't really a huge amount, on reflection I'd have taken at least five times that amount, although food and drink are incredibly cheap you'll need VND to pay for extra excursions , souvenirs etc. Taxis are readily available and really cheap.

Absolutely amazing

The best holiday we have ever had. Seeing all the numerous cultural sights, and enjoying all aspects of Sri Lankan life.

Most Inspirational Moment

Stepping out onto the top of Lion Rock at Sigiriya.

Thoughts on Group Leader

Suresh. What a man, absolutely first class. Attention to detail and knowledge of his country unbelievable.

Advice for Potential Travellers

I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this trip to anyone. Having said that it is graded as moderate/challenging. The main challenge we experienced was the heat, but if sensible this can be easily managed.

Memorable experience

Wonderful home-base hotel for trip. Beautiful room with a balcony and outstanding food served at the hotel

Most Inspirational Moment

Boat ride and chair lift on Capri. Walking the path of the God's was so memorable.

Thoughts on Group Leader

Severio was top-notch and took great care of us.

Advice for Potential Travellers

Pack clothes so you can layer and be sure to wear comfortable clothes

Fantastic Trip

Every day was awesome during this trip. The guide, Michael, was experienced, caring, knowledgeable, and fun to be with. He made the entire experience enjoyable

Most Inspirational Moment

hiking with the group to the summits

Thoughts on Group Leader

Outstanding!

Best holiday ever

Wow, what a trip. Well organised, full of interesting places and the best tour guide.

Most Inspirational Moment

Reaching Petra and the way our tour leader lead us to the first peek of The Treasury.

Thoughts on Group Leader

Moaiad was just amazing. He was so professional throughout the trip taking into consideration the guests needs and the local environment. He was passionate about his country and gave us a true experience of Jordan. Loved his sense of humour too.

Advice for Potential Travellers

If you want to see the highlights of Jordan feeling least like a tourist this is for you. Loved the Premium accommodation throughout for that bit of luxury.

Above expectations!

Wonderful tour of Northern Thailand. Lots of variety from the history and culture of the Kings and the Buddhas to swimming in the Erewan Falls, paying respects to the POWs at the River Kwai, spending money in the night markets and sampling the wonderful food.

Most Inspirational Moment

Not sure I could pick out one....I did love Sukhothai, a very graceful town with relics of an ancient kingdom and a night market set at the riverside. And a wonderful hotel. Visiting the Elephant Nature Park was also wonderful but perhaps the best thing was the group. There was 15 of us and we all got on so well - no cliques. Every day was fantastic fun.

Thoughts on Group Leader

I can't recommend Nai highly enough. He was fun, very organised, meticulous in preparation. Could always recommend excellent restaurants. He was a major reason for the success of the tour. Very knowledgeable about all that he showed us and enthusiastic about his country's history. Also had a ready supply of rice cakes and sweets he shared with us on on bus journeys!

Advice for Potential Travellers

Be open minded, be flexible and enjoy getting to know your fellow travellers. Be prepared for the heat and drink water, water and then more water. A proper thermos flask with a double wall is a must for keeping water cold. A hat is essential. Mosquitoes not a problem.

Excellent trip!

A great itinerary covering a number of nature reserves. We have seen so much wildlife and although we had a specialist birding guide there was still a lot to see and discover. The hotels/eco lodges were good with one exception in Manuel Antonio which was poor and the town was very busy as the tour took us there on Easter weekend. The National Park there was a bit crowded and at variance with other locations.

Most Inspirational Moment

The early morning bird walks arranged by our guide - being in the rain forest whilst it is waking up is incredible!

Thoughts on Group Leader

David Vargas was inspirational and exceptional. His depth of knowledge and enthusiasm was astounding, he was amazing and very willing to help with anything.

Advice for Potential Travellers

Moving hotels every other night is a bit full on but we would not have seen so much without doing so. Maybe a specialist bird tour does not suit everyone, there were a few people who had chosen the tour because the dates were right for them (understandable!) but I think they found it a bit intense.
