Scenery, wildlife, culture!
Cycling through the small towns and villages where locals pour onto the streets with a ready smile to greet you is something we shall never forget. Throw in a visit to a local school, a church service, a woodturners, the amazing scenery of the National Parks and the cheeky lemurs within touching distance and you have the perfect holiday! This holiday is culturally rich with dramatic scenery and this was every bit as good as seeing the lemurs close up.
Most Inspirational Moment
Being so close to the Ringtailed Lemurs in the Anja Nature Reserve with the mountainous backdrop was something we will always feel privileged to have been a part of.
Impromptu visits to a school and a church service were also inspirational.

Armel was a brilliant guide who had a wealth of knowledge and experience and who put our safety first at all times. He had a great supporting team around him who could not do enough to ensure that our holiday was the best it could possibly have been. Armel had a constant smile on his face and this cascaded through the whole team , making our holiday an unforgettable experience.
Advice for Potential Travellers
Bring any medication with you that you could possibly need including paracetomol, ibroprofen, diarrhoea medication and rehydration salts as we only saw a couple of chemist shops on the entire trip. Best to be prepared!
Bring some supplies for schools as they literally have nothing and if you visit, it would be great to give them things they need in person such as pens, pencils and crayons.

Cycle Madagascar
Absolutely loved it.
My only criticism being that I felt like we should have set the bikes up on the evening of our first get-together. We spent a lot of time fussing with bikes on the first morning.
That way we could have got away earlier on Day 1. We could have got out of the city earlier and quicker, had more time watching the Dancing Limas at the Reserve and not been biking so long in the hot sun.
Also, the trip to Ramofama was unpleasant – too many tourists all there at the same time and scrabbling through and breaking the native forest. We saw very little in the way of Limas – saw many more further on in the trip. The evening event was great so you would really only need to stay there one day.
Most Inspirational Moment
Having lots of time and room to see the ring tailed Limas at one of the smaller parks. Going there in the afternoon was great value - much better than using up valuable cool cycling time the following morning.
Thoughts on Group Leader
Absolutely outstanding. Patient, funny, supremely organised, caring, considerate, always aware of what was happening.
A delightful man whom we were privileged to have and get to know. We learnt so much about the local people and areas because of him
Advice for Potential Travellers
Carry diarrhoea and vomiting tablets - be super careful about water, salads, hand washing

Cycle Madagascar
An astounding country to visit. The scenery was spectacular and various. The people very friendly and of course the wildlife unique.
Most Inspirational Moment
The trek into the National Park.
Thoughts on Group Leader
Fi (Finaritra) was very willing and helpful. He was however inexperienced which led to a few minor problems but he did cope very well over some confusion about return flights and accommodation. I would have liked to have heard and therefore learnt more about the country as we travelled from our guide.
